Victory II

Cruise Review: Victory II – French Canadian Maritimes & St Lawrence Seaway – August 2018

All in all the cruise and land trips were great. This was the first or one of the first sailings from Halifax to Detroit. We made allowances for the new sailings for this trip but think all in all they did a great job. The standout is the crew. We were in a “D” Category cabin which was just fine for us.

We met friends on the ship and all got along wonderfully. We ate together, we toured together, we played together. We all somehow found each other on the second day of the trip.

We were invited to the Captain’s Table the first night and that was special. Did you arrange that for us? The Captain’s wife was with him and was absolutely charming.

We and our new friends wanted to sail to the Colonial Mexico Yucatan trip together. Unfortunately, the dates we planned on are not available, as they canceled some of the dates.

The staff and the entertainment cruise directors etc were friendly and helpful, however, we found them not informed on the future sailings. They offered 2,000.00 off each to book the next cruise as an onboard incentive, and they would let our agent know. We did this, but upon returning home we discovered that the crew did not have the correct information, and the brochure they had, showed all the dates available. But as we found out they are not. So, Linda, we are looking for another special trip the 6 of us can take about 8 months from now so we can reunite as a group.
